Ok you are tired of balenciaga, so what?

Why do we need to get tired of things all the time and try to force everyone to be left behind? New things to buy, new trends, no repetition of an old trend!

Why do people say that so casually with no sense of strangeness?

I believe that one of the most important and interesting lessons here is the fact that we actually don’t HAVE to move on from things that quickly.

Not liking it anymore is okay, but it doesn’t mean that it’s over for everyone and that we should definitely stop looking at it.

The fact that Balenciaga has maintained the same concept since Demna started, and he managed to survive even his own trends within the industry, is probably the most sustainable thing that a household name could do in this overconsumption moment that we are.

You can be SO tired of Balenciaga because they have been doing this style for many years.

But if you have a staple Balenciaga piece, it will not be outdated from the perspective of the brand itself because they are still in that same place.

So yes, sometimes brands do everything for money, but what about not changing the entire brand idea that is true to the creative director just because “people are tired of it”, isn’t that sustainable?

That’s why they keep selling.
