Wearable Gucci??

In a world of really tiring “aesthetics” core or trendy waves of thoughts, how did I perceive this last Gucci show?

It was amazing. Thanks for reading!

All jokes aside, it was a very beautiful collection.

It is refreshing to see one of the most logomaniac brands of our generation slow down and present something different, yet very modern.

I speak in the first person perspective, so nobody can see what I say as truth, but more as myself giving my 2 cents here.

I’ve been going through a phase of getting tired of my own style, getting tired of wearing the not-so-basic Balenciaga core that I’ve loved for the past 2 years. The pandemic gave us a need for “more is more”, but now maybe less opulence is starting to be missed again in fashion.

This whole change of mindset can be confusing, but it’s been a fun moment to discover more about my personal style as it changes over the years. We get older and we get tired of our clothes sometimes, we have to face it.

I have been really excited to change my wardrobe in some way these past few months, and what a time to be in that mood. I’m a bit tired of the irony, the moment has come…

But at the same time, it is hard to do that and be mindful about consuming and buying new stuff. I find myself sometimes getting addicted to online shopping without actually pressing the button to buy it… Just endlessly sourcing, thrifting, and wishlisting stuff on all online retailers I can think of.

Coming back to the Gucci topic, I think one of the reasons that made me so happy about this new moment for the brand is that I was all about looking for vintage Gucci treasures these past weeks, and that Sabato’s new Gucci face made me want it even more.

Vintage Tom Ford Gucci is timeless, and I believe that new Gucci is all about it again.

We needed it!! Let’s assume it.

We became used to seeing high-end luxury pieces go out of style and people selling those pieces for 10% or less of the original prices. I take advantage of that, but I still feel sad when I see something like that happen to my own wardrobe. That’s why Hermes is what it is… if you get my reference.

New brands are making cool, young, aesthetically challenging pieces so they can thrive in the market. Sometimes a giant household brand like Gucci has the perfect place to be more toned down and make themselves stand out from the trendy universe.

“It’s Getty images of cool people of all ages, and it’s inclusive as in everyone is welcomed.” – Sabato

I love getting excited about things.

Happy to be back!! Love you all.
